Why Is Class 12 Not an Entry Point?

UGC bars engineering from online and distance delivery entirely, so the only recognised route runs through a work-integrated programme, and those are approved on the basis that practical learning happens in the applicant's workplace. Because the specialisation must match your job, the decision about which technical field to enter is effectively made when you take your first role, not when you apply to the degree. Two Routes From 12th PCM to the Degree

Counting a 3-year diploma plus the required employment period, a student leaving Class 12 this year is realistically three and a half to five years away from starting the degree and roughly seven to eight years from holding it.
